Discuss possible reasons for Raven’s identity crisis. Brainstorm the diverse influences on identity. Have the students create an identity box (from a shoe box) that details the most important aspects of their identity. Upper-level students can appreciate that the Canadian Constitution guarantees Aboriginal rights. Research the sections of the constitution that refer to Aboriginal rights. Constitutional rights are only one aspect of identity for diverse Aboriginal peoples.
