Divide the class into two: one half identifies with the young Native American in the film, and the other with the young European. Each group only watches the portion of the film relevant to their own role, and then summarizes what they consider to be the significant characteristics of life during the era. Next, pair up “First Nations” and “European” students. After discussion, each group reports on what the students learned from each other.
