Education

Ages 16 to 17
School subjects
Students will learn about the conditions and rights of Canadian workers in the post-WWII era. Students can do a comparative analysis of the improved working conditions in the booming economy of the 1950s with those of 19th century industrial workers, workers during the Great Depression, or even workers today. Students can also learn about and discuss the role of unions, their origins, and their role and influence today in both the West, and in emerging economies.
