Brent Carver: Home Through the Night

This short film is an enlightening glimpse of Brent Carver, one of Canada's most acclaimed actors. In an exhilarating exhibition of his two great passions, acting and singing, Carver weaves powerful performances made up of Shakespeare and song. In Brent Carver: Home Through the Night, a deeply skilled and passionate artist crosses the threshold between the self and the character he performs. This film was produced by the NFB in co-operation with the National Arts Centre and the Governor General's Performing Arts Awards Foundation on the occasion of the 2014 Governor General's Performing Arts Awards.
