When
planning for the ideal suburban community, decisions about the ethical use of
agricultural land versus economic development, sustainability, use of the
resources, land for animals and humans, as well as combating noise and air
pollution should be made. Using a grid, have the students create a community
to satisfy the needs and wants of humans, the economy and the ethical and
sustainable use of the land.
