Kitra Cahana is an award-winning documentary photographer and filmmaker whose work explores a variety of social, anthropological and spiritual themes. She holds a B.A. in philosophy from McGill University and an M.A. in visual and media anthropology from the Freie Universität in Berlin. She is the recipient of a DuPont Columbia award, a Peabody award, two World Press Photo awards, a Senior TED fellowship, and the ICP Infinity Award for young photographers. She is a contributing photographer to National Geographic Magazine and a TED speaker.
