Active in film, theatre and TV since the late 1980s, Ben Cardinal is an actor and writer from the Métis community of Lac La Biche, Alberta. His many acting credits include roles in feature films like Road to Saddle River (1993) and Clint Eastwood’s Unforgiven, and TV series like Heartland and North of Sixty. His writing credits include the plays Bones and Generic Warriors & No-Name Indians, and the youth-oriented short dramatic film Moccasin Flats (1992), which he co-directed with Avri Liimatainen.
