Ask media studies students to analyze various aspects: how the film generates emotion; the effect of the narrator's gender on meaning; the effect of original film footage; the effect of music; and representation of the Burmese. Have history students research and assess Canada's contribution to WW2 in South Asia/Burma, as well as its documentation by historians. Ask family studies students to discuss closure in the loss of a loved one.
